At KenyaAmerica Rural Dental Outreach, our mission is to bring free preventive dental care to children in the rural areas of Kenya.

Teams of volunteer dentists, assistants and general volunteers both from the United States and Kenya delivery preventive care in orphanages which have children attending various elementary schools

Our vision is to transform dental health in children who would otherwise have no access to dental care.

About Us

KenyaAmerica Rural Dental Outreach (KEARDO) was founded in 2019 by Dr. Gladys Gesicho.Dr. Gesicho had worked as a dentist in Kenya before relocating to the United States. It was while she was on a medical mission in Kenya in 2013 that she met some of her former patients (some of them children), who asked her why she had left them, yet her services were needed there.

That's when she promised them that she would do something about it. She knew that even a little help in the form of preventative dentistry would go a long way in making a difference.
